Courtney Cliff is a Community Educator for the Pride Centre of Edmonton. She is passionate about human rights and gender and sexual orientation diversity. To her workshops Courtney brings nearly ten years of experience working with and for the LGBTQ Community in Edmonton and surrounding municipalities. Courtney has worked in many areas of human services that overlap with the LBGTQ community, finding her home in community education. Courtney believes in the impact and importance inclusion education communities. Courtney would describe herself as an expert tea drinker and a reality TV enthusiast.

Creating Safer Spaces for LGBTQ People

Everybody has GENDER! Through a variety of teaching methods, this session will walk through three aspects of identity: gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Together we will discuss issues impacting LGBTQ people and how we can make the workplace and our communities more safe and inclusive.
