Joyce Mitchell @mclennanrosslaw
Joyce is a partner in McLennan Ross’s Calgary office and a member of the Labour & Employment Practice Group. She has an extensive background representing management-side clients on a wide range of labour and employment matters including collective agreement interpretation issues, defence of grievances and wrongful dismissal claims, collective bargaining, disability management, and duty to accommodate issues. She also assists clients in the development and implementation of employment, harassment, whistleblower and discipline policies. Joyce conducts harassment investigations on behalf of clients as well as acting as an independent investigator Joyce represents clients before the courts and administrative tribunals including grievance arbitration panels and human rights panels She is a frequent writer and speaker on human rights, labour relations and employment matters, particularly with respect to harassment issues and the employer’s duty to accommodate.
