Darel Baker

Darel Baker is the President and a Co - Founder of Keldar Leadership.  Keldar Leadership was formed in 2003 with the purpose of improving the productivity of companies and organizations.  Darel specializes in meeting with Owners, Partners and Senior Leaders of organizations helping them identify solutions to their  challenges thereby taking them to the next level. Prior to Keldar Leadership, Darel held leadership positions in the Private Sector, the Public Sector and the Not for Profit Sector.  Having led management teams and other high performing teams with a number of companies and organizations Darel has overcome challenges and maximized strengths to help create success.    Successful recruiting, hiring and development of team members have been keys to success throughout his career. Darel is a 4th generation Albertan and grew up on a farm in central Alberta.  Community service has always been important and currently Darel is actively involved in Rotary and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Edmonton.  Still involved in Chamber of Commerce activity, Darel is a former Chair of the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Edmonton Chambers of Commerce.

Maximizing your selection process through use of Assessments

So many times we are surprised with how an employee performs after we hire them.  They might perform at a higher level than expected or not seem to be the same person we interviewed a few short months before. Personality assessments have become a significant consideration in the hiring process for many successful organizations.  Proper utilization of these tools will provide objective information in your selection process and reduce the chances of hiring someone who is a bad fit for the position or your organization.  A small investment before someone starts can save a tremendous amount of time, energy, frustration and resources trying to fix problems later.
